Boscean pottery is situated on the coastal path above
Kenidjack valley. The pottery
has rich history and has been
producing distinctive handmade pottery in St. Just for over 50 years.
In 2012 Boscean pottery
celebrated its 50th year with an exhibition that paid tribute to its founders, Scott Marshall (1936- 2008) and Richard Jenkins (1932- 65).
Resident potter Jacob Bodilly
took up the pottery workshop at Boscean in 2008 after finishing an apprenticeship at the Leach pottery in St. Ives.
Jacob produces pottery in a
traditional way paying homage to the essence of Boscean’s history whilst remaining a distinctive potter in his own right. Jacob makes many commissioned works for cafes and restaurants alongside making his exhibition pieces and Standardware. Jacob produces Stoneware and earthenware
